Its fig from seed. True, without grafting this fig is useless. On other side this is haaaardy rootbound fig .

Ante, now that is something rather strange. :D Have you tried grafting one so that it can produce on the palm?

Graft terminal wood with a cleft graft onto the seedling. Use porous grafting tape so the latex can run off.
