It is in a pot, but still the first Musa mannii bloom I have ever had. Previously, all pseudostems that were getting close to flowering size would have their meristem rot.

Funny you should ask, Pete! I guess you noticed that I cut the bracts? There have only been 2 bananas, one per hand. I pollinated them both with Musa velutina pollen. i hope it takes!
