I purchased these ultra-dwarf (M27 rootstock) apple trees at my local Lowe's. All fruit trees were 50% off. Regular price was a little over twenty-nine bucks, so fourteen something plus tax. The apple trees are as follows: (3) Fuji, (2) Anna, (2) Dorset Golden. I also bought two Chandler blueberry plants. These were $6.99 reg., so around $3.50 plus tax.
I have wanted to set up a mini-apple-orchard since I found a web site called Gene's Backyard Orchard. Here is a link:

Keep in mind that dwarfing rootstock means that the tree approaches its standard height more slowly. They will only be "short" for the 1st 7 to 12 years. I have an apple on M27 rootstock that I prune twice per year to keep it at 7 foot.
