A very fast grower. I've read that they have better color in full sun, but this does not hold true to S. Louisiana. It would not hold more than three leaves before the oldest one started to wilt. I moved it to this spot with a little more shade and it is doing much better.

UPDATE Siam ruby is not hardy at all. Did not come back from a mild winter with a low of only 28F
