It already has one about the size of a quarter and 2 more that may take off (I hand pollinated them pretty good so chances are at least 1 more will make it). I'm going to put something to support it when its about the size of a golf ball have not decided yet. Its all on one side of the cage so I will probably need to use counterweights to keep the whole thing stable.


Edit: Man this thing grows fast. It was an egg 1 day after this and now 2 days almost the size of an apple.

i live in georgia (watermelon capital of the world for a long time) and i cant get any decent fruit from watermelon. the late frost or the heat gets mine.
i think you maybe onto something..patio watermelon.

we are close but the climate in houston is a lot more humid than Ga. a lot better for tropicals (mosquitos too).i was in houston and on galveston island for a month during ike, working with center point.i slept outside of a filled resort/hotel on the island for a week. i bathed in bug blocker the whole while. still made the most of it. got in touch with nature real well.lol.
