An especially nice 2nd generation pup 2008

This is a nicely colored pup, part of the next generation of the four unknown bananas I bought at a roadside stand in East TN, last summer when I was visiting my brother. One I planted in a very specially prepared hole the ground and (hoped for the best that it would get through the winter here in W. PA. but then it turned out to be the coldest in 10 years! and all I got in the spring was a very fertile circle in the middle of my dahlia bed). The other three over wintered in the garage and now are making beautiful babies like crazy! Maybe I should get them booked on Jerry Springer: "Pennsylvania bananas that defy nature and make babies like crazy!"

Advice? Anyone? Since I bought them at a roadside stand in TN for $1 each are my bananas too generic to put in the thread so that someone might tell me what variety they might be? Also - I can work facebook and myspace, but I have somehow been clueless as to where I can download a profile pic for this site.

Your banana looks like some sort of Cavendish to me. It could prove to be High Color Mini possibly.
