I don't think its potassium diff as one of the guys said. It's something prevalent here in the tropics. Its on ALL the edible 'naners here and Thailand as much as I have seen. Just cut off the leaves and burn them. After a while it will lessen. However, this does not affect the wild 'naners at all. Your fruits will be ok. Btw what's the name of the 'naner you are growing called in HK. It looks like some sort of Cavendish. Regards

Dear Tog and Xavier,
Thanks for suggestions which I would follow soon. I don't know the variety of my banana plant. All I know is that it is grown in hilly areas, edible and seedless. It is very delicious, the taste is sweet and sour, and the "meat" is "tough", and NOT soft like those in the market. Best, TAM
