Finally got all of the pieces together to begin micropropagation (TC)

After having to wait for my pressure cooker, then needing a new seal and handle, I was almost ready to go, but the gauge was frozen. So, with the new gauge, handle and seal, it's off to the races!

Homemade Laminar flow hood. Made from a polypropylene storage box, a polyethylene kitchen wastebasket, a 3M filtrete filter, tons of clear duct tape, a bathroom fan and some silicone sealant.
Works great, now we will find out if it can maintain a sterile work environment....

Nice, so how do you sterilize that work area to get started?

Lots of bleach solution, alcohol then more alcohol. It's a constant battle to prevent contamination. Thanks
