The actual name is "Annona montana" aka Mountain Soursop. Contains dangerous amounts of annonacins -- will cause permanent dementia if eaten on a regular basis.

Where you got this dementia story???
My philippine inlaws eat them when available every day.One is a praticing orthopedist, other one is a lawyer and for year they still look good and most of the doctors patients survive and the lawyer win s a lot of cases.The danger is not in the ripe fruits but in the seeds and the bark, used medicinally in many counties and indeed here i insist on very carefull use , you have to know what you are doing
