The native of Southern China is one of the most renowned fruits of the world. It can best be described as having the flavor of passion fruit and grapes with the scent of a red rose. This variety is known for it's scarlet red shell, and for bveing a heavy producer. The fruit ripens late May to July.

I've never seen fruit on a Brewster in Florida after the end of June. Great fruit!! One of my favorite after Mangos, Mamey, and Sapadilla.
