The plants/flowers to the front right and left that get blueish purple flowers. Did you plant them or are they volunteers? I can't even kill those "weeds" with round up.

They are tradescantia, or spiderwort. Pretty when blooming in the morn, but you have to keep digging them out. They are definitely opportunistic growers. "A weed is a plant that is growing in the wrong place."

I wasn't trying to be ugly. I call them weeds cause they do grow in all the wrong spots in my yard and beds and even roundup won't get rid of them.
