There are online documents and sites that can help you diagnose. With mine I applied some gypsum from ground up sheet rock and some (not much) boric acid from the store, and the leaves started correcting themselves. Here I suspect its caused by my soil acidity, some minerals dont get absorbed at high or low PH. In this case, the thickened leaf veins, twisting, and dying parts of the leaves helped to identify it, also with some of my bananas, they start getting horizontal lines on the leaves that get worse over time, and eventually the leaves start to twist, calcium fixes it. I have also grown plants in pots, and after very heavy rains the calcium can leach out, fertilizers like miracle grow do not supply calcium, now I use calcium nitrate from the Co op to add a bit. My Brugmansias will start to get curled leaves, once I apply the calcium nitrate, they will start to grow out of it. I am going to lime my yard this winter, hopefully that will fix it more long term. How do you know this is Calcium and Boron? I'm always amazed how people can pinpoint the issue in an ocean of possibilities! Could you point me in the right direction?
