That was last year when they were small. I used miracle grow in a water mix and it burned the leaves. Don't pour the mix on the leaves. They came back just fine but it stunted the growth for a while. All the problems of a beginner..lol. I just cut my others down to almost ground height and re-potted them. The dirt was really wet down in the bottom of the pot. I was also told to put copper on the cut off part which I did. I hope they make it they were very large at the end of the summer and made a great patio "ambiance".
