With the right pollination, some of M. Basjoo produce seeds, not all M. Basjoo are sterile, they can be crossbred with other species of bananas.

Not all Musa Basjoo are sterile. Some of them produce seeds.

Thanks, Dean! I'm just glad it made it through the winter. It is the only one that has germinated thus far, so is the only one of its kind in the world.

Yeah, it has come through the winter just fine, and I potted it up into a one gallon today, actually! It's got a bit of windburn and sunburn from the past few days, but is growing rapidly and should be just fine. I'll post a new picture when it looks like something.
