Ron --- you hit the nail on the head. Those of us who live in areas not quite so tropic, and that includes me in 9b, have to start thinking beyond cold tolerant to cold hardy. No more tropical tropical for me. This years new trees are Persimmon and Tropic Beauty peach. Also Florida blueberries. And the naners are mostly dwarf now so they can be covered up.
