I used to pile mulch, then tie up fronds and wrap with burlap, then place a plastic trash bag with vent holes over it. Didn't do any of this last winter, and every Trachycarpus fortunei came through fine! This one is in year 2. |

Butia capitata, aka Pindo or Jelly Palm. I pot it up and bring it inside for the winter. I've lost 2 Butias trying to keep them outside. |
