Thanks for the nice comments. Those plants do require protection in the winter but they are not that hard to grow. Heliconias are my favorite followed by gingers. Bananas are a close third. If you want to try some of the Heliconia Rostrata, I have plenty.

That's just the way they work. I have some with only one all white leaf and some that are completely white from the time they first send the shoot, stem and all.
