Not sure, but I would imagine a little of both. When the pups mature, they will send out rhizomes as well, and probably in every direction. |

Jason, no it's Ensete ventricosum, which gets larger. The one pictured wasn't the biggest, but it was probally close to 25' to top of leaf. |
