I built a bat house a couple of years ago. In about a year bats moved in. They go out at dusk and come back at dawn. I have had over 300 bats but now am down to about 200. I am going to get another house built for the spring. I use the bat droppings for fertilizer on my bananas. I took the close up shot from my roof. The bat house can be seen in this pic above my ladyfinger.

Great shot - we have some very big (2.5ft wingspan) bats come over our pool at night, but we don't know where they roost. Are these in your roofspace?

Yes you build a bathouse and they move in. Helps keep down the mosquitoes and the guano makes good organic fertilizer.

Never heard of a bat house. If you build one do they just move in?
