Yeah it came from miamimax last year,I was looking to see if I could find any pics of the parent plant as it was in flower, but can't find it now.
Hope its not a zebrina for th eobvious reason, lol
I'd highly reccommend using bubblewrap on your greenhouse, keeps the plants nice and snug all winter long

That's good to hear. The water is heated to 67 degrees although it's going to be loosing some heat in the flow cycle. We're keeping continuous flow during this cold snap and during the night even on nicer days instead of flood and drain until it warms up. And they're covered so I'm thinking we should be ok. We're experimenting with this first one and I have more starts in the house ready to replace them.

Did you get that one from Miamimax on ebay? Nice bubble wrap, I thought about using that stuff for extra protection.

My experience living in McKinleyville, CA (specifically 40°55'58 N, 124° 5'6 W) was that a little frost was ok. Light snow would freeze and kill outer leafs. If the snow melted off in a day and core of the plant and the roots did not freeze, the plants live on.

The little pups are about 5 months old from TC stock. They and others are growing well and are starting to need more water as the weather warms up. I will put them outside in an unheated greenhouse at the end of March / Beginning of April. Then i will transfer them to the garden in May. You should be ok doing similar.

when did these germinate / how old are they ? as you are the nearest to me in terms of weather conditions just wondering at what times of year we can germinate inside.
Also I have about 20 seedlings (ensete vent' & musa sikkimensis) 4 inch to 10 inches - when do you think I could take them form the top of the fridge and put them in a non heated greenhouse ??
thanks
