It already has one about the size of a quarter and 2 more that may take off (I hand pollinated them pretty good so chances are at least 1 more will make it). I'm going to put something to support it when its about the size of a golf ball have not decided yet. Its all on one side of the cage so I will probably need to use counterweights to keep the whole thing stable.


Edit: Man this thing grows fast. It was an egg 1 day after this and now 2 days almost the size of an apple.

Keep chopping I would go down at least another 1 1/2 feet. If still dead cut to the ground and check the condition of the corm as it can probably be saved.
