The stocking hammock is ingenious, not only is it light enough to avoid rotting the fruit, but it will also expand as the fruit grows and aid in keeping the pests off.


I have employed a similar trick to protect newly emerging banana leaves, especially on windy days. I only have two so tinkering with the pole to get the sock on and off just gives me another reason to spend time in the yard.


I'm definitely going to try this with my pumkin, thanks!!!
