Sorry, I thought my info would appear somewhere on this thread, like the profile or something... I am in Puerto Rico...I tried to place my coordinates at time of creation but was not able to..with message stating same. Will be submitting the actual vegie/fruit soon. |

"Etapa vegetal" is the vegetable stage...and yes at this stage most bananas are cultivated for the purpose of sale as a vegie. Some will wait a bit more to then transport as a "fruit" so that they can continue ripening on the way. Ripened bananas can only be consumed locally as they will rott if transported. |
