![]() I can't believe it's been six years since I did the project on both sides of the driveway. The right side was supposed to be beachy, tropical and desert, while the left side was to become a jungle; bananas, a hand carved tiki, some torches and of course the mysterious concrete seal. Well, it got away from me, and the whole damn thing is a frigging jungle now; overgrown with redbuds and running blackberries. Here is 2015 when it began:
And here is what it looks like now! Time to cut that stuff out and expose everything that's been grown over. It's bad, Folks! I have my work cut out for me on this one, but at least the offending redbud that seeded all of these was cut down in 2017. Wish me luck! ![]()

![]() It's full of yuccas and windmill palms, cacti and bananas. They're buried so badly, you can't see them! So, I have to do it all by hand, one snip at a time, then dig out all of the roots with a mattock before putting the barrier down and filling in with whatever medium I decide to use; river rock most likely.
