I'm really on with electro, wonky pop, & alternative rock .... But a good friend of mine, Beth, got me listening to lots of great stuff, Thanx Beth!!
I also discovered some old bands like Real Life & Talking Heads, they're super!!
Thanx Cheryl, Radiohead Rocks!! Great European stuff, Jack !! Awesome!!
Tried playing guitar, myself, but just drove everybody outa the house . Might try harmonica, next, who knows.
Anyway, got these off Utube. The first one's off Dan Black's latest CD, "Un", the 2nd's off Arctic Monkeys latest, "Humbug", and the 3rd's real old but super !!
Oh, and Oceanlab's super, too!! So are the older Uh Oh Explosion videos.

Boy Cheryl... we were definitely from the same era. I couldn't agree more with your list but the Stones late 60's early 70's are always number one for me. Most shocking is that you were a New York Dolls fan. I met them all and got to know a few of them reasonably well after they broke up in to the David Johansen group, Heartbreakers etc. back in the early 80's since they were around here all the time and we had mutual aquaintances .....used to be in the city on a regular basis back then...............
Now.......ho hum sub urban middle aged gardener

I still have all my old punk and skate punk on vinyl! It's fun to break out the turntable every once in a while and rock! I also still have my ancient and huge Technics speakers in my office. They make the hardwood floors of this 1929 house really bounce!

Wow, Youtube has some of the stuff I was into in the early 80's skating pools and ramps in San Francisco and LA.

[YT]vHTomSyIYCo[/YT]

[YT]YxHSpZ9qutQ[/YT]

A local OC band practicing. These guys were great live!
[YT]bcSEdHh3qiE[/YT]

This was Mo Fo's band the Drunk Injuns. He was the edititor of Thrasher Mag. One my skate buds Corn was his best friend. We used to have sushi at this place in SF for lunch and the sushi chef would play this tape when we walked in! All the suits would give us the look! Good times!

Too funny, my old Tecnics are still at my mothers housealong with the 8 track player and Marantz turntable. I think they would knock this old 1920-1930 house ( no one's sure town wasn't official till1930) down
