![]() I sprayed around my Pindo's using Ornamec ( only kills the grass ) and put some of the super sticky in the sprayer too.. Well I ended up spraying around all my fruit trees.. This time we'll see how that works.. Didn't do anything to the pindo's last time or the time before.. I try not to spray it on the plant I want to keep.. Low Pressure, Low Volume.. :^)

![]() I sprayed some liquid fertilizer on the veggie plants. I was told this was an improved bed ready to go--it's most certainly not. If I'd known how hungry this little space is, I'd have amended holes before planting plants or even seeds. It's perked up since I've spread mulch/compost that's 3 weeks from completion but until then I'm stuck with that blue stuff and will probably end up using it this season. ACK! Need my own garden badly.
Watched a show on PBS about a NYC rooftop organic farm--2 roofs over an acre each and a business so I agree it's a farm. They're composting to make beds much as I did over clay--I didn't dig and they can't--I'm quite certain you can do the same darned thing over sand--just need a place to test my theories. (Before you say I'm wrong like every other person here does including the AG agents, tell me why you're trying to grow broccoli in May here--it's iffy up north by June because it's a cool season crop. Sheesh!)

![]() After 25+ years of putting leaf mould over clay I ended up with at least 20" of black gold. I threatened to take my dirt with me when I sold the house. Darn! Didn't get the chance but it really does work or did for me. (And, if everyone in FL is right and the sand eats amendments then someone in China is going to really appreciate my hard work when they get a goodie package of great dirt!)
