Four Paws Balls are defective and very dangerous. Please read and take the appropriate action if you have these toys for your dogs.

That is a sad story, and the ball looked familiar to me, so I checked my little dog's toy basket. Sure enough, I have this same ball! However, mine has a small hole opposite the larger one, so it must be a newer model. But we've had it for about 1-2 years now, so maybe it is a different company with an identical ball (?). Weird. In any event, my dog hates this toy anyway, lol. She is scared of the bell in it, so it just sits there in the basket collecting dust. Guess this is a good excuse to trash it!
Thanks for posting, Mitchel. |

I won't be buying NOTHING from that company EVER. Just the way they treated her case is more than enough for me to avoid their products. I know most business folk think that way... but ugh...

Thanks so much for posting this. It took them 3 years to finally take this off the market and then they lied about it being the first occurence. But it's not totally off the market as it's still for sale on Amazon.com .......even with customer comments regarding the danger.
Boy it's true we really have to supervise our pets closely. I've had to boycott all stuffed animal toys for our little dogs as they would end up tearing a hole and swallowing some stuffing but they're still happy as I stuff tube socks now with either other socks or anything laying around that is fabric and tie the end. That was so sad!!
Call me cheap if you want to , but I have never bought toys for any kitten or puppy I've owed. There's always been something in the house ,or yard they could play with. Or I would fashion-out something fun I wanted them to have. Heck....kittens like a string! Puppies like to play with you, and a small bone! lol

Yes Lynn - I'm the same!! Once I had a mad moment and bought a squeeky toy for the dogs. They wouldn't go near it and after about 6 months of it being ignored, I gave it away. That'll teach me! Old tennis balls and knotted rags for tug ropes suits them fine.
