TyTy
Any one ever look at the site and just laugh at how gawdy and fake it looks with all of the "pics" that are a poor representation of what you can do with crop and paste in a cheap version of Photoshop? I went to the site to check some prices and didn't even get to the plant listing due to being repulsed by the layout and "graphics". I know some have had a good run with them but, I have a hard time buying a plant that I'm serious about spending my hard earned money on when the site looks like 2 preteens put it together in one afternoon.....
Just MHO, take it for what you want. Shaggy |
Re: TyTy
oh you mean being freaked out by looking at a mummified cat wraped in duct tape and wondering what it has to do with grapes?? advertising geniuses at work??? i dont buy from them anymore but their site is fun to read.very entertaining.

Re: TyTy
mummified cats in duct tape aren't frightening, a banana bunch hanging right next to a guys "banana bunch" in a yellow speedo that sent shivvers down my spine....

Re: TyTy
Of course, if you don't want any of their products bad enough, then just go for the entertainment of it, or outright ignore them. But I can guarantee you, if they sell their Ae'-Ae's for $29.99 a piece, you'd be lucky if you can even get on the waiting list for a year.

Re: TyTy
I'm surprised they are still in business. Everyone knows they are bad to deal with. They also steal other ppl's pics.
I gotta see the yellow speedo pic :) |
Re: TyTy
Saw the speedo guy LOL.
Banana plants are "trees" there & the corm is a "bulb". "AE AE grows faster than green leafed trees. " " will put out 8-10 pups in 90 days." For $150.00 plus shipping, you might get a tulip bulb LOL. |

They prolly ran out of AE AE and stopped by the local grociery store and picked up a ginger root for $3.50.... |

in all fairness i think if you visited ty ty, and insisted you pick out your own product you may do ok shopping at ty ty..just dont order from em thru mail, its a crap shoot. i live approx. 60 miles north of them and they thought i wouldnt come see em for not sending my order after 3 weeks. they kept telling me its comming, its on the way and hung up the phone on me. in the last phone chat, i was told "the sooner you quit calling the sooner we can mail your order". i went in and picked up the biggest size container in stuff i didnt get shipped to me. when it was time to pay i told them who i was,and told them i didnt feel like arguing. i got my stuff and left...what could they say? they are lucky i didnt mention gas money.. |
Re: TyTy
Ahh, but you already paid for shipping on the order - didn't you?

Re: TyTy
I could go but the gas money alone would out-do any order I would place....considering its about 1000+ miles away. Wouldn't they flip a lid tho if I went and said I didn't want to pay shipping or wait 22 months for my order to ship.

Re: TyTy
do not buy anything from this business. you will be sorry you did. merchandise is not good when it arrives.

Re: TyTy
OMFG!!! I know, I know! I stumbled upon that site a while back and just cracked the f%^* up! They say 'sex sells.' Well apparently, they took this to heart! Here are a few of my favorites:
LOL...such terrible photoshopping! (especially the third one...LOL) Do they honestly think they will sell more bananas because they put a nice car or a beautiful person next to it? I guess they do! I don't know whether to be turned on or laugh! Both? And PS...about the last one....That guy looks a little too young to be having ED. LMFAO! Sorry, I'm terrible, I know I know! |

[quote=ronaldmcblunder;75861]ae ae's ?? im not particulary fond of buying plant that i have to treat like a sick child or baby. im sure they are beautiful plants but from what i understand about them they are not for me..if one was given to me i dont know if i would want the responsibility. i like my abyssinian reds just fine
i know this thread is about Ty Ty but really after all the time we have spent on Bananas.org how much more could one say about them (nuff Said) but as the the Ae Ae comment there just as easy to grow as any other Banana I live in the Middle of the Mohave desert were the average day time temp in July is 115 my Ae Ae grows happily here What happens with most Ae Ae is people love them to death If you pay that much for a plant one tends to think that some how the plant needs something more O Cointreau Mounfrair its just like any other Banana and as for the acid loving nature of it that ever one goes on and on about it couldn't be farther from the truth my Ae Ae is siting in soil of 7.5 ph i water it pretty often and its in 90% shade i feed it slightly higher levels of N its happy as a lark on a spring day my Ae Ae has gone from 1' to 5' in leas then 6 months that not out standing but its good for Vegas lastly I'm not the only one that believes theas facts to be true |
Re: TyTy
it makes me so happy to know that people love their ae ae plants.:nanadrink:

I know somebody is going to hate I posted this due to their lude pictures on the website. Another thing Greg is they order out for alot of their trees from a grower. If you search wholesale for what your looking for you can find the growers and get a better deal. |
