Trying to work out again.
Problem is between having one car,two little kids and my wife working opposite of me. So that gives me one day to workout at our company gym. Maybe Friday once in a blue moon. I was in great shape few years ago and spent years working out, eating good and supplements. I have started doing ab exercises, walking our large neighborhood. Doing push-ups and dips. I don't have anyroom for weights or anything. Anyone think it's possible to get shredded up and put some definition back on doing one day at the gym. Plus the stuff I can do at home for resistance? Thanks.

Do what they did before gyms

Re: Trying to work out again.
Yeah, you can do it once a week, but you'll have to do burnouts. Rotate your drills to every other week, and that should give you plenty of time to heal what you've torn, before you tear it again.
I don't work out that often, but have a look at the bicep in my avatar. It's the manner in which I do it; progressively lighter weights and higher reps. |
Re: Trying to work out again.
What's that Sunfish? 100 push-ups and sit-ups a day :)

Re: Trying to work out again.
MAN just wrote a huge thing out and all sudden it erased off the screen when I bumped it! Yes I see Snarkie and nice idea.
Here is what made me get shredded up,wish I could post a pic here but iPhone is hard to work uploading pics here. I did 5 days a week. 3 sets max 5-8 reps max Using the heaviest weight I could handle and control. Once I could move past the reps I would go higher. Was only in the gym for a hr as well. This made my body respond awesome. I thought about looking for a used bench or whatever. But no spotter and would need a lot of different amount of weight to make it worth it. |

You have the right approach, but lighten the weight a little and do 10,15 and 20 on the reps. You'll notice a big difference. I do alternating reps with the dumbbells, so it's a total of 20,30 and 40. |
Re: Trying to work out again.
Geez Blownz281, what the hell happened to your format? It's all over the place!
|
Re: Trying to work out again.
Ok. But once you can do 3 sets of 20 reps you jump up the weight?
Format? What are you talking about? |
Re: Trying to work out again.
Not right away. Get used to it for a month or so, then increase it. You don't want too much strain. That's why it's easier than power lifting!
The format of your posts is all over the place. Your replies are crammed to the left side and all of your buttons are to the right and on top. It's bizarre! |
Re: Trying to work out again.
Okay will give it a try. I dunno guess it's the format of my iPhone.

Re: Trying to work out again.
That shouldn't affect the VBulletin format though. If I knew how to post pics on here, I'd take a screen shot and show you what it looks like. Maybe a Mod has some ideas?

Re: Trying to work out again.
Snarkie I emailed him months ago never got a response back. My weather banner has been messed up. Mike told me to erase it from my sig but it won't let me.

Re: Trying to work out again.
Look into a supplement called Test X180 Ignite to use in conjunction with your workouts. It's an all-natural supplement you can find at GNC, Amazon etc., that helps to boost your T levels without using dangerous chemicals. It'll help burn fat, build muscle and increase the libido. I found it on Amazon for half the price as GNC or the manufacturer, and it was twice the amount. It arrived last Thursday, and I'm already seeing results in 3.5 days with the libido aspect.

Re: Trying to work out again.
Hey BlownZ281, is a 1/8" gain to each bicep in a week a good result?
