This butterfly was pretty big so I had to take a pic of it! I wish I got a pic of the hummingbird in my yard yesterday because it was the first hummingbird I have EVER seen in my yard. I couldnt believe my eyes when it quickly flew in and then out of my yard. Its stayed for about 5 seconds, but this one butterfly was here for at least 10 minutes roaming around the yard.
Here it is resting on my cat palm probably drying off its wings after I accidentally got it a little wet with the hose.

Ive been getting a lot of butterflies ever since I planted some lantana around. They really love those flowers!!

I have seen praying mantis in my yard every year for 3 years now and I was getting worried because I havent seen one at all this year until yesterday. It liked my hibiscus last year but this year it likes to hid near my mandevilla. Im not sure what they like about my yard but they are welcome since they eat a lot of pests.

This Cicada killer moves incredibly fast even with prey! It partly flies while it runs and I was told it was trying to get to a high spot to launch from and get back to it's nest. It finally crawled up my leg and onto my head before it took off. But it was almost impossible to get a still shot.
Also, a butterfly.
