Steven are you an entomologist? (not sure if I spelled that correctly) 40+ species is very impressive - all container kept?

Thank you Mitchel!
I googled them also, and there are so many and they look very different. Some look like a styrofoam peanut almost, and others look like a mummy egg of some sort. I think I have scraped some of the mummy looking ones with a stick before not knowing what it was. I won't anymore!

Just a hobbyist. Most terrarium kept, a few loose in the house(they're 100 times faster than me).

Just looking at that centipede creeps me out a bit. Spiders don't though. I love most creatures big and small and try to harm none. Glad your fish didn't get eaten. I had a huge gorgeous hawk camp in my backyard and ate mine before I realized what was going on. He left after cleaning my pond of toads, frogs and fish. Here's a couple of shots of him or her:

Super hawk pics, JaNan
! Got some living near our house, gonna try for some pics of them. Had a pet tarantula myself! Most Oklahoma tarantulas are pretty harmless. Found another awesome spider with a web strung between 2 of my big Blue Java nanner plants! Richard says it's an Orb Weaver & great insect protection !I think it's having lunch! Oooo! Green snakes are so pretty! What an uncreative name, but they're very cool!

Here's a cute little guy that was trapped in a glass punch bowl. Fished him out & took him outside where he can find stuff to munch! They're called jumping spiders. They have a nasty bite but aren't poisonous & Luv munching on Brown Recluse spiders (Fiddlebacks)!

Found 2 of these, today, munching on mom's purple Chrysanthemums! After a few shots, I relocated them. They're now living far, far, away!

Eric that is strange looking. I wonder what it is, do you think that is eggs attached to it?
Here's an odd looking moth on my hibiscus. It looks like it has a horn on it's head. ~JaNan

Unfortunately, they were probably wasp eggs. Wasps put them on catepillars to give the new wasps food. I took the eggs off & made a pet out of the catepillar. Wanna see what kind of moth it turns into! It's looking & acting real healthy now!
