Just a pic off the web, one of these was chewing on everything in my garden
Thus he was marked for Termination....which was completed
But a red tail hawk decided a free lunch was a good thing & took off with him before I could take a pic

Assassin bug (wheel bug) on my Cherry of the Rio Grande.
Nice predator bug for the garden. Some what resembles a Leaf footed stink bug (which is a unwanted pest), but Assassin's head is different shape and has the spiny crest on it's back.
Can inflict a painful bite (worse than a bee sting) if you pester them to much.

Not a surprise visitor to my garden, but a welcome returning fall/winter guest. Ruby-throated hummingbird,

Cant ever seem to get a picture while they are buzzing around the flowers, so had to zoom in on it while it was perched at the very top of my tangerine tree.

Wish the ones in my yard would hang out on the papaya. Mine seem to like hanging out in the mango & lychee blooms to ambush the things pollinating the flowers, stuff I want to have around.
