Looks like a Katydid to me also. Wa have a few but they seem to be no problem.
Can't see through the wing, it only has single wings, but there are very many around this year.

The vine we lost is the Moon Flower, which is the opposite of the morning glory. It did a complete job of eating the leaves. Pic tomorrow.

They open at different times, but I believe you will find they are in the same family - apparently they taste the same, too.

I don't see Praying Mantis often at my house! Between the lizards and the chickens they never get past the very small stage. I love them and think they look like little aliens!

... about 8" long.
This one wintered over in the greenhouse instead of her "usual" place; under the compost pile.
She's lost & regrown the end of her tail, making her easy to distinguish from her buddies.

Doesn't look like it ate too much. We miss having frogs around the property. It is drier here than closer to the Gulf where there are plenty.

Actually In my Hydroponic garden's nutrient tank every summer I have tadpoles and I clean my filter every day but I also get to watch a few hundred baby frogs jumping around I dont know what my neighbors think about it because when it rains it can get kinda noisy here
Lets see if I can find a video

These creepy little things have been eating holes in my strawberries. Any idea what they are and how to control them organically?

You might want to try Palmolive dish soap the original green one . Mix with water and use a Windex spray bottle to apply it . That will get rid of lots of little critters for me .. That centipede looks weird! Just be glad you don’t have to buy it shoes

These are all on the back porch getting some water I have a plant sitting in. Even the birds are panting, poor little guys! I have Cardinals, Mockingbirds (which are trying to keep all the other birds away from the water), I think Wrens, Finches, Sparrows, Jays, and a little green bird I haven't identified yet. The cats sit at this back door just mesmerized! So cute!

Sorry for the picture quality, I am shooting through a glass door.

This is the little green mystery bird. It might be a female Painted Bunting, it isn't any bigger than my thumb, a tiny little thing!

I shouldn't have even included this picture, but it was the only one that you can really see any color in the young male Cardinal.
