Pinwheel Strangest thing....

Was eating a pomegranate at work and got some juice on my desk, wierdly enough denatured alcohol didnt even phase it (that stuff can strip almost anything) yet Starrett cleaner for surface plates eats it right up but the strange thing was that it instantaneously turned the juice from purple-red to an extremely bright blue! Amazing what chemical cleaners will do to organic chemicals.

The red in pomegranates and radish skins and a lot of other plants is a ph indicator. When the ph rises above 7 it turns blue. When I cook purple cabbage I always add vinegar or lemon juice because purple is more appetizing than blue.
