Default Stabbed by a banana.

We have one of those gadgets sitting on the kitchen counter, with a hook, where you can hang a hand of bananas. This moning, my wife wanted to take one with her, to work. The stems were a little dry and hard, woody-like. She tugged on one, and when it came loose, she slipped and the sharp end of the stem put a three inch gash in her arm!

Ouch! Sometimes the dry part of the banana does get pretty sharp. I never thought of it as dangerous though! Hope your wife is feeling better!

Thanks, folks, My wife is perfectly fine. When I first looked at it, it looked like a gash. There was a lot of blood, but it was probably more like a deep scrape. She was holding the stand/hook with her right hand (to keep it from tipping over) and trying to yank the nanner, with her left hand. When it finally broke loose, the sharp stem slid along her right arm, scraping it.
Luckilly she gets to work in 5-10 minutes, and she works in an operating room.
