Ante, I think I'm close enough for you to come and see this for yourself.

Typical overview of what there's to see (anthem and folksongs in the background)...

Slovak Castles (some more than millenium old, Czech song in the background, don't ask me why... ) Most of them were build when Rome was just trying to conquer its first European countries, almost none of them has been conquered by any army, not Muslim, not Roman, not Germanic.
Part 1:
Part 2:

Slovak nature (song played in the background is famous Elán, they've played all over the world twice already)

Some American dudes in Bratislava... (those buildings are in such a bad condition, because they are usually 600+ years old and protected by UNESCO)

Bratislava, different video, main square and historical city (I will wait for you playing in the background)

Part of Bratislava built shortly after WWII. It was supposed to give home for homeless after the war and it somehow grew to massive city part (and probably the most difficult one to live in). (Slovak rap in the background)

Vysoké Tatry (High Tatras, Carpathian Mountains)
Tatra Mountains - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

High Tatras, Fauna and Flora, many endemits.... etc, you know...

Special section for Bob, BEARS!!!

Do you see how the dog's afraid? :

If you wanna see some more, just PM me or leave a message in this thread.

ROFL!!! That's awesome!

Iowa Travel Information and Travel Guide - USA - Lonely Planet

Wow...this website makes Iowa sound so boring! I'll be honest, there really are only a few touristy things to see/do in Iowa (although our State Fair is the best in the nation)....but the people are nice and our crops help feed the world.

I find it humerous that Des Moines is the only thing in 'places in Iowa' and the only real thing they have to say about it is 'The town really is rather dull, but has a few good attractions.' Des Moines does kinda suck...I won't lie...we call it 'Dead Moines' sometimes LOL. Eastern Iowa (Cedar Rapids and Iowa City) are much more fun!

I like the history section the best:
Quote:
After the 1832 Black Hawk War pushed local Native Americans westward, immigrants flooded into Iowa from all parts of the world and hit the ground farming. Some established experimental communities such as the Germans of the Amana Colonies. Others spread out and kept coaxing the soil (95% of the land is fertile) until Iowa attained its current status as ‘Food Capital of the World’ and US leader in hogs and corn. Iowa is also the state that makes or breaks presidents: ever since the early 1970s, the Iowa Caucus has opened the national election battle.
Last year Iowa grew over 8.5% of the worlds corn! True story! Our soil is excellent for bananas too!

Kentucky is pretty interesting Kentucky Travel Information and Travel Guide - USA - Lonely Planet

But........ I don't live near the interesting areas except for Mammoth Caves. The caves are really cool. We even have a small aprox. 8' x 5' cave on our property. We live between Bowling Green and Somerset in what they call the breeding community as it's extremely rual, dotted with little communities that I wouldn't actually call towns. A lot of cows, horses, and fields of hay, soy beans, sorgum, corn and family gardens. There are some old timers that still dig gingsing and make a little money off of that. Unfortunatly the biggest money making crop is pot and the making of meth.

Orininally being from KY myself, I have to say that Mammoth Cave is great! The recreational area called Land Between the Lakes (part of it is actually in TN) is great as well. Done a lot of hunting and fishing up there!

WOW, those U Tubes really screwed up my puter. 1 -3 U tubes don't do much, but there are about 14 in a row here! My puter locks & a pop up says "A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash to run slowly. Your puter may become unresponsive, Do you want to abort the script?"
Doesn't matter if I click yes or no, - still slow. Took me 45 minutes to scale down to get here - sometimes moving 1/2 inch in a minute or 2. No problem with links...and, I didn't even get to click on anything. I'll try again later.

Here's the University of Maryland's College Park campus

Annapolis, the state capitol and home of the U.S. Naval Academy.

Here's Ocean City.

The 20 mile long Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel.

From From western Marylad's mountains.

Of course, we have to show Washington, DC, which was carved out of Maryland.

The link made Wisconsin sound boring...talked about chees & cows LOL, and there's so much more. I'll try to find some pics - if this stupid puter cooperates.

Don't know, never drove it. I usually go from Delaware to New Jersey via the Delaware Memorial Bridge, which lands me at the southern beginning of the NJ Turnpike.
Good luck with your recalcitrant computer.

Ante!!! Slovak folklore. (just a small comment; most of these songs were sung even before America was discovered by Vikings and Columbus and people have danced like that for generations)

(btw. watch those girls )

The first Slovak National Folklore Organization (Lúčnica)

The second Slovak National Folklore Organization (SĽUK) - they are more theatral, but still, Slovak dances

--------------------------------

And now for some different cup of coffee: Russians (and their craziest variations ) - we usually dance these when the alcohol blood level ratio is higher than it should be:
