Should've been there!!!
Just got back from my first cruise to the Bahamas. The cruise line we went on, like many other cruise lines, have their own "private" island. These pics are from Coco Cay and if it were up to me, leave me stranded there for the rest of my life.

Thats awesome! I've always wanted to go to the Bahamas. There's fruit everywhere, the water is so clear, and the place is so beautiful. Anyways, how was your trip?

The trip itself was great and had a wonderful time, but I have been fighting pneumonia for the past 6 weeks or so and it popped up its head the last two days I was there and that was a bummer!!! Man, those ship docs are expensive, but if you can't breathe, they can be a life saver... Sound like an old man complaining about all my ailments, sorry, the trip was well worth the money, though... My oldest daughter wanted this for her high school graduation present, so since I had never been on a cruise, I was all over it!!! Took the wife, oldest daughter and one of her friends and left the other 4 daughters with their grandparents and it was nice to spend some time with my oldest before she goes off to college in a couple of months...

Great pics, Randy! We're trying to get a trip set up to go to the Yucatan this fall. I want to go and see some of the ruins down there, and maybe look for a few bananas as well! As my wife works in agricultural research, we always have to wait until she is finished with harvest before we can go anywhere.

Randy - the Bahamas are awesome - my favourite place to visit - the sand and the colour of the water!!! We dived there for many years! Sorry to hear you were sick and hope it didn't spoil things for you.

Cassie,
I simply could not get over how BLUE the water was and the amazing wildlife swimming right under everyone was too much. Saw I don't know how many different types of fish, sea urchins, and several sting rays. Great time had by all!!! |
