Post your Summer pics!
Fall is here and Winter is on its way for the Northern Hemisphere. That means shorter and cooler days for most of us.
I think some tropical scenes would definitely make us all think of the days of summer again and that doesn't mean you have to leave your yard! But if you have some vacation pics that would be really great also! If you post pics from your vacation of your yard dont forget to post an approximate date and location and the names of the plants in the pictures if you know them. Here are some pictures from my Summer 2010... Nice grouping of coconut palms in July in the Early Morning on Wailea, Maui, Hawaii. ![]() Beautiful plumerias everywhere at the hotel in Maui! ![]() Coconut palms by the pool in Maui. ![]() Beach in Maui, Hawaii ![]() Papaya in Maui, Hawaii ![]() Love the color on these Ti plants on Maui in Hawaii at the hotel entrance ![]() Nice line of Washingtonias on Maui. I didnt know they could grow in the tropics, but it was pretty dry so that may be why they do so well. ![]() Beach in Maui ![]() Banana plant on the beach?? I thought they didnt like salt. I can tell this banana didn't appreciate all the wind, but other than that, it looks pretty accepting of its location (and its in fruit!) ![]() I like the deep red blooms on this plumeria on Maui. ![]() Really nice group of lady palms at the hotel in Hawaii ![]() I never knew that red ginger could reproduce like this. Some of them had offsets that were even more mature than the ones on this flower bract. ![]() Thanks for looking. Ill post some pics of my favorite summer pics of my yard later!

Beautiful pictures! I'm so envious. Were those hotel photos of the Grand Wailea Hotel? My wife and I stayed there some years ago and we were treated royally! Also stayed at the Kaanapali Alii, but the Grand Wailea had a lot more trees and plants, not to mention the huge Koi pond next to the Wedding Chapel there.
