Pandemic alert raised to level 5
W.H.O. has raised the pandemic alert to Phase 5,
Click the link below for the latest WHO press announcement. msnbc.com Video Player Phase 5 is characterized by human-to-human spread of the virus into at least two countries in one WHO region. While most countries will not be affected at this stage, the declaration of Phase 5 is a strong signal that a pandemic is imminent and that the time to finalize the organization, communication, and implementation of the planned mitigation measures is short. |

Re: Pandemic alert raised to level 5
I believe I heard something in the news about cases starting to taper-off in Mexico. If so, it doesn't mean the spread of infection in decreased, in fact, as of today Apr. 30, cases are still growing in the United States. Instead, it is a good sign that people are receiving treatment faster and avoiding public contact. What worries me is the fact that an infected person can spread the virus for 1-4 days before they show any symptoms.
