Any MAC users here? I am using Safari now but want to change my browser to Firefox. My main concern is loosing my bookmarks but I'm also a little concerned about the initial settings too. I had the cable guy help me to get online with this computer. Is it hard to change browsers for a novice like myself? I will still be able to get online with my PC laptop to get help but a little upfront advice would be nice.

You won't loose anything in Safari if you install Firefox. I never use MAC OS much so I'm not sure about the differences in Firefox itself. In Windows and Linux it allows you to import your bookmarks from other browsers.

Well it was really simple to install but doesn't work properly on my machine. This machine also has issues with Photoshop so it doesn't surprise me. I can however work around the issue and use it for what I need it for which is uploading photo's to Photobucket.

I have both Safari and Firefox on an older mac. Both work, but Firefox has a few glitches on certain webpages. Maybe it is just some setting, but Safari works better for me. Firefox was great on my last pc, though.

See, and I've never had problems with either Safari or Firefox on my Macs; I run OSX 10.4.x (Tiger, not Leopard) so if you're having Leopard issues I can't help. I also run the full Adobe CS3 suite, so I might be able to help you with the PS issues as well.
I have a PC, but it's really only for running AutoCAD. Everything else I do on my Macs because it's less glitchy and generally better. What exactly was Safari glitching about? How is Firefox glitching? And what is the PS issue?

Here is a screen capture of Google opened with Firefox. See that!
![]() And here is a capture of that screen capture in Photoshop. Notice the tools have snowy black color over them. It goes away when you scroll the curser over them, but comes back when start working on something. Weird! I tried re-installing both and they look the same. I'm on an old Power PC G4 with OS X version 10.3.9. Any ideas? ![]()

Hoooo.... I'd say it might be time to upgrade your OS....
That's PS CS2, is it not? There have been some issues lately with the old PowerPCs. You've got a G4? The problem there is being caused by something to do with your graphics card. I'd take your Mac to the doctor and see what the real experts have to say.
