My Port Stanley Vacation
    Here's the cottage I've been staying at for over a month now, that's less than 2 minutes from the beach...    Port Stanley is only 40 minutes from London, but here's how we got here...      I often duck in here when it rains...   This place makes a pretty decent pizza...  Who says swings are just for kids...   More soon...  : ) |

It was a beautiful evening tonight...
 The lake was like glass...  Many people, including myself, enjoy long walks on the beach...  Here's where you walk to when you wanna get ripped  ... Some of the beach houses are very beautiful...  This one is my favorite...       Took these last shots on other evenings...             More soon... : ) |

They're in the lake!
There is a fish market down the street. Several of them, actually. The boats go out every morning at 4 am and arrive back at 11 am each day and you can buy the day's catches at the market.  Not a big fish eater myself but I do enjoy perch and some other mild types. : ) |

Great pics! A lot of people dont realize how beautiful some of the Great Lakes beaches and resort towns are! I forget what the name of the beach is, but there is a beach on the USA side of the Great Lakes that was voted one of the most scenic in the entire country (and that includes beaches in Hawaii).
Port Stanley looks like a really nice beach town! The water looks really nice and clear. Many of the beach towns by me are way too crowded to enjoy. The Hamptons out on Long Island are nice though with clear water and white sand and smaller crowds and apparently Cape Cod is very nice too. I have never been to Cape May yet, but I hear the beach there is beautiful and a little less crowded than the NJ beaches closer to NYC. And Bermuda is only a 1 hour and 20 minute plane ride away! Thanks for sharing! And awesome sunset pics. I like the homes along the beach too!

                                Yeah, GT's is closed now for the season but there are other bars in town that are still open. This time of year is a particularly good time to enjoy Port Stanley...because the beach is deserted and most evenings and days I'm practically all by myself. You feel like you own the beach when no one is around. More pics soon... : ) |

Gosh, thanks Mitchel!
 That particular shot was taken with my DSLR camera, using the 70-300 mm zoom lens. Most of last night's pics were taken with the DSLR camera although a couple were shot with my little canon digital camera. Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is "banding"...and is it a good thing?!  : ) |

We're having Indian Summer here for the Thanksgiving long holiday weekend. Here are shots I took today.
This is the wharf restaurant that we ate at one evening...          Going back to the beach for a late lunch at Mackies and for a swim too!!! There's gonna be a gorgeous sunset tonight... : ) |

Trying to get shots of people's vehicles while they aren't looking, isn't easy.
I enjoy the cool cars that roll into town daily...    Sunset tonight was really beautiful. Love it when it's a bit cloudy. Makes the sunsets more interesting...        : ) |
