My Florida Mango score
Yup just walked around my neighborhood. And mooched mangoes from my neighbors. The Coconut Mangos are so good its actually hard to believe I’m eating them. The Haitians Mangoes are always a favorite. The 5 year old Grocery store tree bloomed this year produced about 30 fruits, I fertilized this tree in October, it’s pushing out new growth. In a week I will trim it back for the girl who planted it . There are a lot of grocery store trees here all of them seem to be producing...

Re: My Florida Mango score
Im thinking its a common mango . Orange flesh and tastes like a normal mango,, Darn good because it was on the tree till the last minute. And the skin taste terrible!. In our local stores here we seem to get all manor of Mango and banana selection .. OH no sting or pulp

We here are very fortunate to be in a zone where the tropical fruits grow and do well. Our main Grocery stores carry so much “picked to early” fruit it’s a crime. Disgusting! And once you had a real fresh fruit or vegetable you always want to spit when forced to eat the commercial stuff .. I took a closer look at the Mango I identified as a Common .. I have changed my mind .. It’s a Fairchild for sure .. Now that I got to look at all the fruits again today. And the tree also .. I also took the seed apart to see if it was polymorphic and it was not. So I am almost 100 % certain . I have few seeds in damp paper towels and in a week I will know exactly for sure.. Now the question .. is where did her tree really come from? Im the only one who cares but ill ask so I know .. Then Ill see if I can get her to allow me to get a few air grafts
