Default Jardines chili just right for cold weather

Any fans of DL Jardines chili? Couldn't find a single box in the stores so I ordered a dozen directly from Buda, TX.

After years of experimentin' I found that these fixins make the best tasting chili. And I go the extra mile by cooking up some red beans from dried.

Any body live near Buda or has visited the farm?

Dan, did you buy the Fixins or the Works.
I will trade you a packet of Cincinnati Style Chili mix for a packet of JDL

I use the works in the brown box. We can do a trade no problem. Are you coming back down when it warms up?

Yes, it's way cold down there ; I don't like to walk around in wool socks and flip-flops.

I'll bet Jungle Jim's has that mix and many others. I really regret not visiting when I lived up there. For me no vacation is complete with a trip to the local grocery stores.

Ah yes , Jungle Jim's totally forgot about that super mega foodie store.
I am due for a visit for some provisions and spirits.
Two mega locations .
Thanks for the reminder. I'll let you know what I find.

That box in the first pic is the one. Texas Chili Works.

It makes a truly great tasting chili --- beans or no beans about it --- and you control the heat with the packet of hot pepper.

Wow good stuff. Good heat and flavor.
I made mine with local venison, hosta fed.

I miss that --- at our local get togethers after work in NJ, during the winter holidays, someone always had venison to share. Cooked up at home. No one used Jardines though.
