HarveyC stopped by today
Taking a break from his chores on the chestnut farm, Harvey stopped by my place today in San Diego as part of a whirlwind tour of southern California. Along with him was Jack Sword, an accomplished member of the CRFG. It was a very pleasant visit. I sent him away with one of my rootings of the Osborne Prolific fig. His next stop was pitangodiego's banana plantation, so I'm sure his pickup truck is loaded by now.

Re: HarveyC stopped by today
Lots of good friends here. I think that's one of the best parts of this website. Think about it, unless you are standing at the nursery, or picking out bananas at the grocery store, would you just ask a stranger if they are interested in growing bananas? I think not.

Boy, Scot, I'm glad you found this old thread. I was on the road traveling at the time and, as is typical when I go away for a bit, I was too busy on the farm when I got back to check out the the latest posts, etc.
It was a pleasure getting a tour of Richard's place when I visited and it made me appreciate my relatively flat ground a great deal! The fig is still growing well, Richard. Thanks again!!! Harvey |
