The Green Scene SOUTH
Veteran CRFG member Tom Del Hotal tells me that Saturday of Labor Day weekend will be the first annual Green Scene SOUTH, held at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, CA. Save the date! It will be a garden sale spectacular!

2008 SOUTH BAY GREEN SCENE SATURDAY, AUGUST 30TH, 2008 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Introducing the Inaugural South Bay Green Scene and the New South Bay Botanic Garden Southwestern College 900 Otay Lakes Road Chula Vista, Ca. 91910 Turn into the college from Otay Lakes Road. At the first stop sign, turn left. At the second stop sign, turn left and proceed up the brief hill. The Garden is located on the left in amongst the trees. |

It was awesome. I met a lot of interesting people and visited with a lot of old friends. Ben Poirer was there with many fruiting Myrtaceae. He had some very nice seedlings of Chilean Guava (Ugni molinae) and I brought one home.
