Friends on vacation in Dominica - buying bananas
 

Some fellow divers were on vacation in Dominica
As part of the trip we do sight seeing, especially on a tropical island
So a small bus & off we go
With all the fruit etc growing we usually stop & buy stuff right off the tree/vine etc
Well they wanted some bananas
"How much for a bunch of bananas?"
$5 a bunch
That seemed kinda high for bananas - only .39-.69 a lb in USA
So they haggled, guy wasn't budging on the price
So they give him the $5
And he pulls a full BUNCH of bananas & hands them to them !!!
They then realize the mis-communication
"No - we only want this many (handful)"
Ah - you want a hand of bananas
They told him to keep the $5 & we all had some - gave him most of the bunch back - after taking some pics at the cantina across the way :bananas_b

They overpaid at $5 a bunch. Love to see pics, though!
