Free bubble wrap?
Has anyone ever tried big box stores to see if they would have any laying around they throw away? I want to use it to insulate my greenhouse and was trying to find some stores that might just throw it away. Thanks.

Re: Free bubble wrap?
lol My mom used to work at Sears near the Mall and I always got my Boxes and bubble wrap out of a dedicated trash dumpster ;)
But yeah my temp saying 30 degree in High Point right now bro. My potted soils temp in the greenhouse is staying about 40 at night! I'm bout to Sh!T myself if I walk out there tomorrow and they all dead ! I'm quickly gathering supplies for my next radiant floor heat project install. |
Re: Free bubble wrap?
You might try Craigslist and "Freecycle.org".
I've utilized Freecycle quite a bit to both get rid of stuff that was "too good to throw away" & it was where we got all the PVC pipe we needed to build a small greenhouse. |
Re: Free bubble wrap?
To Blownz: The best way to insulate your greenhouse is to use two layers of greenhouse grade 6 mil plastic, (treated for UV resistance) not the stuff from the big box stores, or what is called "construction grade".
For max efficiency. trhe two layers should have an inflation fan blowing air between the two, keweping them separated. PS - I will answer your PM tomorrow. |
