This Southern magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora) growing in my front yard is a tree my father planted 25 years ago. The white flowers average 12 inches across and have a strong pleasant smell.

Thanks

The flowers will live for 3 to 4 days, one flower can fill an entire house with fragrance.

A couple weeks ago I had friends stop by for a barbecue, two coworkers left with Namwah sword suckers. Today I went to work bearing gifts, 1 large Namwah (left side of image) 1 large Manzano and 8 smaller Manzano pups.
At the end of the day I had everyone put their names in a bucket and It was luck that decided who would receive the biggest plants . I've told them about bananas.org and hopefully they will join.

And where is the job application? I've been known to fix books--fix them to what is legal and good--not the other fix.

Besides having beautiful pictures you have some very fortunate friends and coworkers; I hope they know that. And I hope they join the forum! This newbie loves lesser newbies--makes me feel darned smart..

Geeze.. Great gifts for your group..Once I gave away a banana... but that was just once :-)
Now your picture is a good one. I see you used the mango as a background. Great choice. I just this week planted a Pickering. It will be years before I see any fruit but I had to have it..

Hi Ed,

what a beautiful video you made there! I hope, that in a couple of weeks my workload
will be more manageable and I am looking forward to go through your Flickr site then.
Judging from the samples I have seen so far, that will be a real worthwhile endeavour.

Thank you once more for helping me out time and again with my Flickr problems. :)

Best,
Olaf

You are going to love the fruit. I have 2 Pickering now. Is yours grafted? If so you won't have to wait years. Both of mine were bought in 3 gal pots and they fruited the first year.

That's not my video it belongs to tavovalero

On the top left of the YouTube video screen there's a brief description and on the bottom right hand corner you will see the YouTube symbol if you click on them they will link back to YouTube where you can find more information about each video.

I have a workbench and it's under my Springfels mango tree.
In the spring I always have too many pups and the easiest way to get rid of them is to put them in front of the house by the street with a sign after couple of days there all gone.

I've read a lot of good things about Pickering mango excellent choice.

You live nearby if you want a banana plant PM me and I will let you know what's available.:waving:

Yes its grafted. Got it at the rare fruit show . It was calling to me. Im moving some bananas so it will have the best location. I read I can keep it trimed. Also replaced my citrus tree. Got ruby red. Now I'm back to normal
