Exclamation Earth has two moons!!! (August 29th)

Just learned of this, and thought it was pretty cool!!!! Hopefully, it will be as neat as it sounds.... If it is halfway cool, maybe one of you will be able to get a shot of it...

Randy,
Ever since I studied Astronomy in 7th grade, I have been interested in it. This site: http://spaceweather.com/ is a big help if you are new to this, it is updated every day. I finally got a telescope 2 years ago for Christmas and I looked at the sun (on a piece of paper reflection, not actually looked!) and looked at the craters on the moon up-close.

Now that NASA is planning on putting a permanent building on the moon, I cant wait to search for that (in 2010-2020?) I assume that they will be smart enough to put it on the side of the moon that gets the most sun, which I am sure that we could see sometime.

Lunar Eclipses are cool too.

Red face OOPS, I got duped...

Not the first time, and probably not the last... You would think I would learn to not take someone's word on something until I learn the actual truth...
Here is a link to learn more of the farce...

Sorry, if I got anyone's hopes up....

The first time I saw that was almost 10 years ago as an email chain letter. It's still alive!

I wish I started a log of every time I've read this great announcement. One friend sent it to me two years ago and then again last year even though I pointed out to him it was a spoof after the first time. Randy, I trust you probably won't be making a repeat post of this next year, at least!

P.S. Streelights Pete? What are those??? I don't even have streets at my place!

Sorry buddy ,
I recieved two of these emails that day and caught myself looking up :P
I knew that someone had posted this before and I just couldn't resist !

If it makes you feel better ,I was passing around an email about a very heroic dog who was awarded one of the nations highest honers. A member here snopes'd it before I put it on the board (A big thanks to that member).
