Guys, don't you know if there is a durable 6 person roof top tent Australia? Also, I will be grateful for a list of cars that can endure such a tent. I don't want to break the suspension on my new car.

One time I came out of Home Depot and saw a guy tying some molding onto the roof of his car. It was an expensive car too. I put the stuff in my saddlebags and said, "That's not going to hold," pointing to where he tied it to the windshield wiper. He told me he knew what he was doing, which I disagreed with, seeing as how I was a licensed general contractor. I shrugged and went back to my own stuff as he pulled out. About two hundred feet up the main road, he was on the side of the road with his windshield wiper bent up, and nearly ripped off the car. I slowed down as I passed him and said, "I told you it wasn't going to work."

I followed the Snopes link, and this is EXACTLY why I posted on another thread how untrustworthy they are. There are supposedly other pics showing this car in different places, but let's focus on this one.

First off, the rear tire is smaller than the front. It's not flat or squashed; just smaller to give the appearance of weight. The car is not distorted, and the window is not blown out. That little bit of twine is supposedly holding that weight; laughable.

No manager, I don't care what Third World country he came from, would ever allow that. Even a waiver wouldn't prevent a lawsuit from anyone else injured by this. Finally, the cops looked at this and allowed it drive away? No, they were cutting the twine, remember? THEN it was photographed on the highway. Total BS.

Don't believe Snopes! This is nothing but a married couple living in a tiny apartment and putting this crap out there to try and make a living.
